Wow, what a trip! I can honestly say that I don't know if I've ever enjoyed a Baseball Trip city more than I enjoyed San Diego in 2006! Between the beautiful Petco Park, the amazing Gaslamp District, and LaHaina Beach Club at Pacific Beach, it was next to impossible to NOT have a good time!

The only bad thing about the trip is that this will always be remembered by us Red Sox fans as the end of the 2006 baseball season for the Sox. Friday started out with so much promise, as we headed to the "Waterfront" (a local bar, that isn't exactly on the water) to watch the 1st of 5 Yankees/Red Sox games over the next 4 days. Well, I'm glad the Newcastle was flowing freely that day, because I was shnookered by 1:00pm (the Sox game started at 11:00am local time), and I didn't really care that the 2006 Red Sox season would be over before we touched back down in Massachusetts on Monday night!

Thank you to April at the Gaslamp Tavern for introducing us to her very own concoction – the Guiness Bloody Mary! I know it doesn't sound very appealing to many, but believe me when I say that you need to stop in and try one before you pass judgment!

Thanks San Diego … I can't wait to go back!!!
