Back in 1992 my father had a great idea ... "Hey Patrick, why don't we go up to Toronto with some of your friends and see the Red Sox play at the new Skydome?"

A simple enough idea, but when Pistol told us at dinner in Toronto "If you guys do this trip every year, and make sure you do it EVERY YEAR. When you get older and are married and have families, job responsibilities, and a bunch of other things going on in your life, you will always be able to attend your Annual Baseball Trip!"

Well, HE WAS RIGHT!!! Our families and loved ones have "allowed" us to attend these trips for the past 18 years, and now we're getting dangerously close to having kids of our own on one of these silly ventures. A big thanks goes out to those folks that have understood why we now, more than ever, need to get together at least that one time a year for our trip!

Since last updating the site, we saw Craig Biggio collect his 3000th hit, made our trip to Vegas (now my annual 1st place vote for next year's trip destination) and had a splendid trip to Pittsburgh. Now we are actually in our 19th year of these trips and headed to Minnesota for 2010.

Thanks Pistol, you are certainly missed, but never forgotten!

Highlights from trips gone past

This Year's Trip:

Minneapolis, MN

August 12th - 16th

Minnesota Twins vs. Oakland A's

Games While We're There:
Fri 8/13 @ 8:10
Sat 8/14 @ 7:10
Sun 8/15 @ 2:10

The Twins were nice enough to build a new ballpark for us to come visit, but they certainly didn't do us any favors by having the Red Sox only visit in town on Opening Weekend in April. So, we bounced around the birthdays, anniversaries, dance, little league, hockey, etc and came up with a weekend in August for us to visit Target Field.

Jeff's friend Mike Dolejs will be meeting us in Minny, so he will be considered the only rookie on this year's smaller crew. Matt-U got off the schnide last year when he actually showed up in Pittsburgh, so we can no longer call him a rookie anymore.

What will Minnesota bring that none of us can anticipate? Each and every city we have visited has shown us it's special charm in one form or another (some to our great surprise), and I expect this crew to find a similar experience when we hit the Twin Cities.

Anticipated Attendees:

Jeff
